Topaz is a gemstone that comes natural in transparent, brown, pink, orange and some times blue (although most blue topaz has to radiated by man, you do find some blue topaz that are natural in colour) This gem is from Myanmar (Burma). 

It has a higher refractive index of 1.60-1.64 (quartz is 1.54) which makes it sparkle. 

This particular piece is really large and could be made into a ring or pendant. I bought this piece as a rough material and got it cut in Bangkok by a master cutter. - Tay Kunming
